I suppose presidential campaign season is in full swing since all the blogworld's abuzz about it. The Modern Gal is very active about her responsibility to vote, however she doesn't much like to talk about her views with others, because she usually gets all tongue-twisted and eventually upset.
However, I am all about trying to offer assistance to those of you who need it in trying to decide how to vote, although judging by what many of you have said/blogged/tweeted/etc., most of you already know how your going to vote. If that's the case, hopefully I can just entertain you politically.
I found a several sites that dissected the convention speeches to get a sense of what it was the candidates and their supporters talked about.

DISCLAIMER: The following videos were passed to me this week by friends. They are in NO WAY intended to indicate how I am voting, NOR are they intended to spark any sort of sharp political debate here at The Modern Gal. PLEASE TAKE ANY POLITICAL HATRED REGARDLESS OF WHICH SIDE OF THE AISLE YOU IDENTIFY WITH ELSEWHERE. If I have a problem with how you're saying what you're saying, I will delete your comment. We champion only civility here at The MG, so put yo' big kid panties on and deal with it.
This was on the Daily Show. Keep in mind they probably could have done one of these videos with liberal pundits as well because politics, by nature, are often hypocritical.
Remember, this is satire:
And for good measure, something that doesn't really have anything to do with politics:

I heart the Daily Show. When I have time to watch it.
I do love the Daily Show and they have been really good leading up to the election.
Big kid panties. Hee!
I get so tired of talking politics too. Just last week we had some guests who were starting to aim the conversation that way, so I tried to divert it by jumping in and saying, "I don't like to talk politics. It always turns into someone getting upset or trying to change everyone's minds." But it didn't work; they started trashing Obama anyway. Sigh.
As funny as Jon Stewart is, you trumped him with the big kid panties. Hilarious.
But that was an enjoyable little video.
