I like to play this little game with my friends who are several years older than me or more. I call it the "old game." Friend mentions a song or movie that they love, adding "oh that takes me back to high school/college/whenever," to which I reply "You were in college? I was so in middle school!" It's fun, they hate it. What can I say? Modern gals have the teeniest of mean streaks to them.
Ok, well, I've found something that can make us ALL feel old, myself included: Madonna, Michael Jackson and Prince all turn 50 this year. I shit you not. While Madge at times shows her age, I had no idea on MJ. I mean, he looks so youthful.
By the way, last week Ms. Garrett turned 82! You remember Edna Garrett, right? She always seemed old to me in the show, but 82?

I really feel that Madonna does show her age. She looks good, but every time since 40 that she has "reinvented" herself it has felt stale.
Holy crap, Prince is going to be 50? I had no idea he was that old. I would still so do him.
I think Prince just had a hip replaced.
I loved Facts of Life!
you take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have, THE FACTS OF LIFE, the facts of life!
I always remember how old Madonna is because she's the exact same age as my mother...scary isn't it? (my mother was a baby when she had me)
Wow, that's old.
Also, I just remembered something from the last post. If you host your blog on Wordpress servers, you can't have ads or Twitter updates, so that's something to think about before you go. (If you can do CSS, you can use wordpress.org and then have those things.)
To be fair, only parts of Michael Jackson are turning 50. The rest are only a few years old.
Prince?! 50?! No way!
Isn't it strange how you can only be young for maybe 20 or 30 years, but people stay old for 40 or 50? Ms. Garrett was old then and she's still old today! Maybe it's just me.
Emma: Agreed. I have no tolerance for her tramping around as much as she does now.
Dutchess: Really? You'd do him? You'd be his little red corvette?
Allie: Even better. But I can understand with all the things he does on stage.
K: Me too!
Angie: Allie and I managed to get that stuck in our head last week when discussing Ms. Garrett's age.
Sarah: That gives you a good perspective.
Noelle: Thanks for all the tips. You may have made me a believer.
Courtney: Touche
Jenn: I know, right? He doesn't look it at all.
Mickey: Youth is fleeting.
