The DJ at the bar that my friends frequent for '80s night is really, really good at continually kicking the music up a notch. I was there a couple of Thursdays ago trying to leave at a reasonable hour, but I just couldn't do it because every song he played was better than before.
My friend and I agree that one of our favorite points of any night at the bar is when the DJ busts out the Journey. Because ever since the end of The Sopranos, everyone has been obssessed with 'Don't Stop Believing.' (I guess better late than never for them to come around). It's awesome because the room full of sweaty shoulder-to-shoulder bodies tipsy off $2 PBRs just sort of stops and starts belting out the song, and at that moment world peace appears to have been achieved.
That was kind of a long lead in to share with you the following, which I think may also be the answer to world peace because it's so freakin' awesome. This is the chorus at PS22 in New York. The soloist should not be missed.
I just love how into it they are, because it's just how into it I can get. You can catch their other hits at their blog.
