I remember way back in the day when Kentucky Fried Chicken started going by 'KFC' as a way of de-emphasizing the whole 'fried' bit of their M.O. I've noticed they've backed off that a little bit, with some new restaurant signs proclaiming 'Kentucky Fried Chicken' as the name rather than KFC.
Today, the old chicken joint is launching a different kind of push to make itself seem a bit more healthy. It's introducing its Kentucky GRILLED Chicken options by offering customers a free piece of their grilled chicken today. I don't know how it's going to compare to free cone day at Ben and Jerry's, but I think it's worth a taste test. Find out more about the Kentucky Grilled Chicken at the promotional website. There's also a Facebook page.

Kentucky GRILLED Chicken? Ummm, no, grilled is better but still....no.
I always thought they changed their name to KFC because it wasn't really chicken. But maybe that was just a rumor.
KGC just makes me think of chicken spies for some reason!
And I've tagged you in a meme for when you get back from your lovely holidays!
I concur with Courtney... I always thought it was to de-emphasize the "chicken" part of their name!
I follow a few PR people on Twitter that were talking about this. Personally I'm intrigued and it is supposed to be healthier for you. But I have to admit, I still love some serious fried chicken.
