Now that my Thanksgiving grocery shopping list has been disposed of, I'm setting my sights on a list of Christmas gifts I plan to buy for family and friends.
I'm trying to have as much of the list filled out by Friday, when my mom and I partake in our annual Black Friday shopping excursion, work allowing. (Yes, I know that's International Buy-Nothing Day. I am totally in support of anyone who chooses to observe it, I just don't because of my mother and I's long-standing tradition.)
I've already got a few things down: some biographies for the bookworm/history-buff Modern Dad, some DVDs for the Modern Mom, some Etsy and other handmade finds for friends and something for the Modern Beau, which I cannot name, lest he discover his Christmas gift by reading my blog.
For the rest? I'm tooling about Gifts.com to figure that out. This is a really cool site that allows you to search for ideas based on a person's personality, age, what-have-you. I tested it out by doing a search of my personality and that of the MB's, and we both found several things on the subsequent lists that we would love to receive. Check it out.

Ugh. Christmas.
That is a cool site. I'm thinking about shopping on Friday this year for the first time, since I actually don't have to work. I'm all for the idea of buy-nothing day, but I think this year the economy really can't take that kind of thing. And I say that as a person who makes her living on the selling of books over the Christmas holiday.
Gifts.com is great! I've been doing my shopping on it for years. They recommend the best gifts for every occasion and for every personality!
Mickey: Scrooge
Noelle: I say I have to take care of my Christmas shopping some time, so I might as well do it when there are so many great discounts.
Sarah: When you make your link Gifts.com, it makes it kind of obvious that you're in the business of promoting the website. But we're glad to have you anyway.
