The Modern Gal is trying to milk the restful post-vacation high as long as possible, which is to say she hasn't gotten a lot of work done in the office today. Unless you count cleaning out e-mail and trying to get my blogreader under 400 items doing work, in which case I'm rested AND productive. More on the vacation later today.
Since the key of the day is to stay feeling restful and stress-free, here's an article from Real Simple on how to make your home more low-key, stress-free and organized.
My home and life are anything but organized right now thanks to how busy I was leading up to my mini-vacation and how busy I will continue to be. Normally I would rush to try to get everything straightened out as quickly as possible thanks to my control freakishness, the side effects being more stress and less sleep.
This time around I am trying to tackle things slowly -- unpacking, cleaning, grocery shopping, e-mail, blogreading, etc. -- in hopes of not making myself as crazy and maybe finding some more time for myself in between tasks. I'll let you know how it goes.
P.S. Thanks to the Nerdy One and Allie for the guest posts. You guys rock!

I do need to read that article because I have a massive amount of cleaning to do before my soiree this weekend. Boo.
Oh, I totally need that article. I am trying to get everything organized right now. So sick of cleaning all the time and having no place to put things!
