From Modern Currer Bell at the Daily Bacon:
Hello there, faithful (and unfaithful) Modern Gal readers. I'll be your tour guide for the day. I ask your patience in advance as I am -- how do you say it? -- pooped. I tend to write a lot about music and TV, so let's start with the former. Familiarity breeds comfort, after all. I'd like to introduce you to some obscure music that makes me very, very happy.
1. If you've read my blog (WHY HAVEN'T YOU READ MY BLOG YET?!?), you'll know I'm in love with J-Roddy Walston and the Business. It's a band everyone should know and love. They've grown mustaches recently, but we're not going to hold that against them, are we? Nope. They're hands down the best live show I've ever been to. For serious.
2. There's this dude that lives in my house who makes really great music in our study with a wall full of guitars, a keyboard and a mic. I find him quite sexy, even when he whines about having to finish a song, blah, blah, blah. My favorites are "What We Need More of Is Science" and "Bad Dreams." But, really, they're all pretty awesome. I might be biased.
3. A friend of mine makes awesome music in his house, too. Check out ADD Music. He makes my knees wobble just like that warble in his voice. You'll notice he covered every bit of U2's "Achtung Baby." I was skeptical, too, because come on. Who covers Bono and the Edge and that other guy? But it's effing awesome. (I held the "fuck" back just for you, dear reader. Aren't you grateful?)
4. I also really dig The Features. They're a little less obscure than the rest of these fellas, but they are rockin', too. Not only are they talented, but they lost their record contract with Universal because they refused to record a Beatles song for a commercial. Now, that's rock.

I had no idea that that dude that lives in your house was so musically inclined!
he plays 15 instruments and is pitch perfect. it makes up for the fact that i can't sing a note. or, rather, i can sing only very flat notes.
Does pitch perfect mean that he sings on key?
