One of my work days spent in Nashville last week ended a wee bit earlier than the others, leaving me with some time to spare. My mission was clear: the new Anthropologie store.
I'll be damned if it didn't bring me to tears. I've always cried tears of pain over Anthro's catalogue full of outrageously priced yet beautiful clothing and home items. The in-store tears, however, were tears of joy. Anthropologie apparently rewards its in-store customers for living in cities big enough and cosmopolitan enough to have one of their stores located there.
Take for example this pitcher I bought. I looked up the price online after I bought it. Online? $68 plus shipping. In store? $24.
I also finally scored one of this awesome monogrammed missus mugs that I swooned over a few months ago. Unfortunately they didn't have the mister mug in the Modern Beau's initial. I don't know what it cost when I first saw it, but it was only $6 now.
I also nabbed this shirt off the sale rack (in green, of course).
It took some serious self-restraint not to spend $200 more there. I will be back, oh yes, I will be back.

Ah, Anthropologie. That store is dangerous to my bank account.
I love everything you bought, especially that pitcher. Why can't we get a store in Knoxville?
Cute shirt!
That pitcher is really adorable!
Anthropologie. If it were a drug, I'd be in and out of Rehab like Lohan.
Courtney: Because we're just a bunch of hillbillies who don't qualify to shop at Anthropologie. Good thing I sneaked in.
Vanessa and Jenn: Thanks!
Angie: That's the funniest thing I've heard all day. And the sad thing is, I know it's true.
Oh, that pitcher! Gorgeous!
