From Modern Emma at Cloudy Day:
No one is producing the shoes I am in the market for.
Every time I go shoe shopping I am incredibly frustrated. Literally every pair of shoes has some design feature that is a deal-breaker for me. Here is my list of deal-breakers:
1. Sling-backs
2. Wedges
3. Gaudy bows
4. Dated piping
5. Disproportionately chunky heel
6. Disproportionately tiny heel
7. Animal print
8. Beading that would make it appear I was attending Prom
9. Peep-toe
10. Toe cleavage
Speaking of toe cleavage... what sick person invented that? It deeply offends me.
But I digress... the point is, I am in the market for a sensible T-strap heel in black. I've been in the market for these shoes for over a year, and the search continues.
What's a fashion item you want to buy but can never find?

I too am deeply offended by toe cleavage. And I do feel like whatever I am currently looking for is the exact opposite of what is in stores. :)
I am looking for a pair of work appropriate gauchos. They were popular last year and at that time i hated them, now I want them. Can't find them anywhere.
Dutchess: I'm always playing that game on trends. It takes me too long to decide I like them, and then I can never find them.
I still don't like gauchos, but they don't offend me. I'm just not interested.
I'm picky about shoe shopping too. I hate those chunky wedges. Nothing with straps around my ankle. No straps across my heel that will just cause blisters. Nothing between my toes -- hate that. No ballet flats. No animal or crazy prints/color combinations. No teeny-tiny heels that I'm going to fall off of. (Graceful I am not.) No bows or baubles. No prom or Sunday school shoes. Absolutely no Crocs. And I wear a 10 or 10.5 -- just to make it more difficult.
On a positive note, at least DSW is selling shoes online now. And free shipping!
I am always looking for pumps like Gwyneth Paltrow wore in the movie View From The Top. I can't find any like them anywhere. I have a sort of classic style and when I find the perfect heel, toe, and color...they are always SOO EXPENSIVE!!
Not to mention you say the word pump in the redneck shoe store here and they always hand you some shoes that would only belong on a grandmother.
What does a girl have to do to find a nice classic pump in this town. Oh and don't even get me started on Khakis...I need some more pairs for work and can't find any that fit and look right. Darn this body...it's too thin in the places where it needs to be plump!
