Avocado tomato dip/salsa/garnish/whatever you want it to be

The Modern Gal is back in healthy-eating mode after putting all kinds of unsavory crap in her body last week and her body responding not so pleasantly. I've been consuming all kinds of superfoods -- avocado, almonds, cranberries, pomegranate juice, etc. -- for the past few days, and I already feel tremendously better.

I thought I'd share a very simple recipe for those of you looking for a healthy dip for your organic chips or something to spread over chicken. It should make two servings, so double it if you want leftovers:
1 avocado, diced
1 small tomato or half of a large tomato, diced
1 clove of garlic (or more if you prefer), minced
1 Tbsp. fresh cilantro (or more or less if you prefer), finely chopped
1/2 lime

Basically you mix all the ingredients in a bowl except the lime, which you squeeze on top. You can either eat like salsa/guac or spread it on something. Make sure you measure out managable portions so you don't overeat!

P.S. An avocado slicing tip: Cut avocado in half lengthwise. Remove the seed. Then use your knife to pare it inside the skin, making a grid with your cuts but without slicing through the skin. Flip the skin inside out and let your diced chunks fall out into a bowl.
