The sports talking heads were so busy telling the Modern Gal about Barry Bonds last night that they failed to warn her that No. 2 Oregon v. Arizona was Thursday night not Saturday night. Not that it would have mattered as 1. I don't generally watch Pac-10 games unless they're the only thing on and 2. I never would have thought Arizona had a fighting chance in hell (or the desert).
Turns out she was wrong.
Dennis Dixon went down along with the dreams of a Pac-10 national championship and my personal hope for an SEC/Pac-10 showdown. We can all now only hope that the ducks align themselves in a row and Michigan prevails this weekend so that the world rights itself on its axis and the masses can begin to speak of that which would be normal in this season of silliness: an LSU-Oklahoma national championship game.
Oh, the pain! The humanity! People will stop talking about the Pac-10 and start speaking of SEC superiority once again!
