I got off work way late last night, and once I let the Lucydog out, I crashed on the couch for a few minutes trying to untangle my tightly wound nerves. I turned on the boob tube and stopped on SNL because, hello, Paul Rudd!! (I've swooned over him since I first saw Clueless.)
What kept me watching was when my boy Justin Timberlake made a surprise cameo. Just like 2006's Dick in the Box, he had me in stitches with a skit with Beyonce. More on that at the end of this post.
My dear friend KG pointed out to me recently that Beyonce's Single Ladies video bore a serious resemblance to our favorite mashup of all time. And because the mashup, Beyonce and JT now all have something in common, I present to you: The Evolution of Fosse. (They're all worth it, but if you only watch one, watch the last one. And the one before it if you haven't seen it, purely for reference.)
1. Gwen Verdon (Fosse's wife) performing a Fosse-inspired dance to Mexican Breakfast:
2. Gwen Verdon mashed up with Unk's "Walk it Out" (greatest mashup evah)
3. Beyonce's Single Ladies video
4. JT performing as a backup dancer in Beyonce's Single Ladies video
Beyonce, Paul Rudd and JT in the same skit = MG dying of swoonness and from snorting so hard. "What's the beef, BK?" B-rilliant.

You are my personal god for sharing that SNL skit. Seriously. AMAZING.
I love Paul Rudd.
I love Justin so much.
JT killed it on SNL this weekend. The Weekend Update part was the best.
The mash-up and the SNL skit were AWESOME! Thanks for posting. Good laughs this weekend.
ok we are the same person. i never realized your love affair with paul rudd --- who i also have a love affair with, starting with clueless. him and brad paisley, are we twins?
This is basically the best post of all time, as there are so many things that I love involved. Shout outs from the MG, Justin Timberlake, and of course the best mashup evah evah. Forevah evah.
I saw the skit yesterday and was dying. I also lost it when Paul Rudd was dancing on The Daily Show the other night. There are few things funnier than that man dancing.
I love the Fosse/Beyonce connection. I wouldn't have noticed that, but you are so right. Fosse was more than twinkle hands, and he was seriously awesome.
It's a great skit. Justin has a great sense of humor. I wish Beyonce would've been a little better. I think she enjoyed it but I'm still not sure.
That Timberlake is a funny dude. Can't say I'm a fan of the guy's music, but that Weekend Update bit was hilarious.
